- I realized prolonged social media usage has been having a detrimental effect on my mental and emotional health. I start getting anxious about not doing enough when I’m bombarded with all these ideas that I realistically do not have time to pursue (e.g. DIY rental renovation projects, sustainable swaps, recipes, cleaning hacks, crafts, sewing, resume tips, networking hacks, etc.).
- By choosing reading and learning, I reclaim my control over my own attention by directing it intentionally. This frees up my mental capacity for the more important things in life, too.
