For the past 3 years, I’ve been taking mostly stone notes in my digital garden.
The other day, after learning something exciting at work, I felt an insurmountable urge to reflect on it in writing. After I got it out of my system, something clicked. Merely making notes isn’t the final stage of learning, but rather digesting the information presented and making it your own. I understood a topic to the point where I was able to incorporate it into my existing corpus of knowledge and form an educated opinion on the subject.
I want to put more intention into this form of learning going forward.
